Superstar (the 1st season) was the first love live! I’ve seen. And I watched it from when it first aired, all the way till it ended. And I loved it. So its great to see a second season!

Is this just your first LL or are you new to idol shows/culture in general?

I loved this first episode of this brand new season... and yet, I'm a bit conflicted... like someone else pointed out in the comments, the reason of why I got really interested in Superstar was because it was the first time a small (5 members or less) idol group was going to be the focus of the story, and now you're telling me that we're back to the usual 9 member squad? I guess you can't beat the classic Love Live formula after all.

Nonetheless, if there's something to love about LL as a whole is how colorful and unique each member of the unit can be, and I can tell we're in for a wild ride with all these new members, can't wait to get to know them well in future episodes!

I got the same issue but not that as bad compare to Nijigasaki because they established to develop the first 5 main characters unlike the others where they overwhelm us too much with 9 at the same time that their development are all over the place.

Yeah, this is a good chance for Superstar as they can use this new season to present the new girls properly and give them the development they need, if that happens then this show will become one of the best LL to date.

Well, good to know Gogo FINALLY uploaded Love Live Sunshine Season 2!

Even though I already watched the S2 premiere elsewhere.

Man, the conflicted emotions are real. On the one hand, I'm looking forward to what these four new girls will bring to Liella, and I'm sure I'll warm up to them real quick... but on the other, I'm definitely going to miss the dynamic of just the original five. I quite liked this focus on a smaller-size group compared to other Love Live units—made them feel more tight-knit, in a way.

Having too many girls means not enough screen time to flesh out each characters... they'll probably just have 1 episode dedicated to each one of them... on the other hand, I can't complain for them having too many girls.

Great minds think alike, but I'm sure the addition of these members will be great for the story in the end... and yet, it shows that you can't beat the classic 9 girl unit formula in LL.

Finally! I am soooooo glad that there wasn't much of a gap between S1 and S2, i've missed LL! Superstar! dearly!! 😭😭

Why is Keke such a goat!! For real she literally creates those banners for Liella from thin air, also never ever forget that everything was Sumire's fault < KEKE LOGIC AT IT'S BEST! 🤣😂

nine member formula but honestly, I have no issue as each character is unique enough to bring something fresh to Liella.

Really liking Kinako. County-girl-in-the-big-city is always a favorite of mine. Red hair and Blue hair both seem very entertaining as well. Not... the biggest fan of vlogger girl, but... she'll grow on me. Probably. >_>

They really flex that new mocap-CG technology since Nijigaku 2nd Season's Tokimeki Runners - no awkward cel shading, no awkward organic body movement, no frameskipping, no over-rotoscopy on organic bodies... Of course there are still things you'll notice it as CG but damn, can you mention a single non-mecha or non-fantasy show which blend their CG like this?

Prob just me but I didn't enjoy the OP that much. Compared to Nijigaku season 2 Opening which blew me away when I first heard it.
Also, I guess they're continuing to have bland costume every time huh (except for Episode 10's costume. That was an amazing outfit)

And Kinako looking like she's gonna be the Best Girl this season huh
